Halloween is behind us and we are flying towards Thanksgiving. It all is moving so fast. Age, I ask myself? I suppose it has something to do with it. But I also think it has to do with our busy life styles and uncountable stimulations for things to do. I suppose other plans were drawn for me and I was put on the slower lane for a few weeks. Not easy to do with my personality, but with this boot I am lugging around, running is not an option and so I gave in and enjoy the slower lane. Not as a bystander, mind you, but I take my time to enjoy the various moments and it is worth it. Taking the time to be in the Now and enjoying it is the key. So I invite you to sit back, close your eyes and feel yourself present at this precise moment, feel yourself and your surroundings, listen to the noises, inhale the smells and enjoy them all. Breathe deeply and let gratitude flow. Thanksgiving will come, no matter what, enjoy the preparation and remember, it is in the journey where the joy resides.
